splat!
This is what happens when the rate of acceleration of the top of your body exceeds the rate of acceleration of your feet. Fortunately, snow is soft and all that was injured was my dignity. Then I discovered I had locked my keys in my car. Bother.
It all started out well enough, when I stopped near the Muny to take a gander at some geese. I noted the tracks they (and a number of other species) left in the snow and my theme for the day was born. After several photos there, I myself made tracks for a spot between the Muny and the Athletic fields where I remembered seeing a curvy stream bed that cut across the landscape there.
The snow lay thick and powdery on the ground there and I couldn’t resist a run through it. That’s when the splat came. And the discovery of the keys in the car. Yep. Photos.
