Day 285 - a year in Forest Park

Blake & Claire

The wedding isn’t until May 8, but there’s hardly a better time than now to get engagement photos! The sky was not cloudy all day, there never was heard a discouraging word, and those who held each other dear ranged around. I was, as you may suspect, the guide for our little expedition in the park. We started in Pavilion Circle, walked over to the Visitor’s Center and then to the playground next to it ( the last time I was there I encountered two mothers who were very suspicious of the man with the camera ).

From the playground we moseyed to the Grand basin, where there was plenty of room for photos. I shot into the sun (the autofocus does not like that) for a few images and then had the Charming Couple sit on the balustrade overlooking the water, where you also get a great view of the Park’s most iconic image, the Museum at the top off Art Hill. I definitely got the feeling that Blake & Claire will be fun to work with on the wedding day!  Here is a link to the complete group.
