I had a good walk today, from Skinker next to the golf course, north to Lindell, east to the History Museum, south to the boathouse and west again over Picnic Island and up Art Hill back to my starting point (though I was mooned by a pair of golfers). Along the way I talked to two artists, Joelle and Barbara, got a photo of the grounds crew taking a well deserved break, saw another photographer and snapped a few photos of my own.
Tonight, at a meeting of the Missouri Nature and Environmental Photographers (MONEP), I gave a forty five minute presentation on my Forest Park Project and then fielded a few questions. The following were not asked:
“If you knew then what you know now would you still do this project?”
“Maybe.”
“What do you mean, ‘maybe’?”
“I mean yes, probably.”
“What is the most important thing you are taking away from this project?”
“A new appreciation for wildlife photographers.”
“Where are the photos you took today?”
“Why, right here, of course!”
