A four hour tour.
Thanks to everybody who came out this morning for my last day’s tour (we had a total of 17 plus me)! I think we had the warmest time of the day for our venture; the mercury just seemed to keep going down as the day progressed. Those of you were with me know about the hundreds of geese and the tons of green goose goo. You also know about the coots (not me, the other coots), the hawks, Charles dozing in one of his favorite trees and the bald eagle (there were, of course, cardinals, bluejays, and lots of other birds as well).
There were tales told (all true) of adventures in America’s Greatest Urban Park and of the Ones That Got Away (creatures seen, but not captured on the silicon - mark Glenshaw saw a fox, I saw a mink). The news about our feathered friends also included a mating pair of great horned owls in the Kennedy Forest (move over Charles and Sarah, your exclusive lease just expired).
There’s also a photo of me walking into the sunset of 2009, ready for new action in the new year. My gift to all of you, my Saint Louis friends. Have a great new year, everyone!
