Fishing on Lake Jefferson

Today, the fish were biting. You should have seen the one that got away! Someone caught a 10 pound, 25 inch trout, but that was before I showed up on the scene.

Fishermen do seem to be an optimistic lot, as well as cheerful. There was a wind blowing today, and the temperature was on its way down, but they all kept plugging away at it, looking for the Loch Jeff Monster, maybe (What, you’ve never heard of the Loch Jeff Monster?). The youngest was about 12 and the oldest over 70, but there seemed to be none of the female sort there at all (What’s with that, ladies? Are none of you willing to represent your gender at the side of the Loch?).

I wondered north from Lake Jefferson, past the skating rink, the Victorian footbridge and over to the cypress trees at round lake (guess what shape it is). I watched the sun set and got a few photos before heading back to my car. A very pleasant evening.
