Day 58 - a year in Forest Park

Dark day
I was feeling a bit under the weather today. And the weather promised rain. By 3, nothing had happened, so I figured it was time to head to the park. I looked at patterns, shapes, colors and odd objects as I walked around P-D Lake to the boat house. There I met an acquaintance and as we talked, I heard drums. For a moment I had the same feeling of unease that the movie “Jumanji” brought out in me, but then I spied the source and went to investigate.
In a small circle of tall pines, seated on a carpet of needles sat Dan (left) and Zach, communing with nature through their rhythms and that mood-altering substance par excellence, caffeine.
I sat and talked with them for a while, took a few photos and wandered off, enriched by the experience. Check it out.
