reflections
I sat by the water today and watched the sun set. I started today’s photos trying to define the day. I looked at the flag flying by the fish ponds, I took some photographs of the rocks on the banks of Deer River. I hauled my super-duper macro photo rig out and took close-ups of lichens on some of those rocks (“Creepy.” my wife murmured with a shiver when she saw them). I wandered through the woods by the water (where I met a slavering, barking hound the size of a small horse - fortunately, there was a restraining human on the other end of his leash). I stood on Franklin Bridge and caught the photons bouncing off a pack of runners. Then I quit resisting and photographed the sunset, sitting on the rocks by the water and watching the sky light up in a synchromy of orange, blue, red and purple. It was grand! When was the last time you did that?
