Day and night
Another hot, sticky morning made me want to stay inside by the AC, but with a wedding scheduled to take up most of the day, I knew I had only the AM to enjoy the park. And enjoy I did, taking a low-pressure two hour stroll around Kennedy Forest; first the savannah and bike path, then the zig-zag trail through the southern triangle, and finishing up behind the Art Museum. There were many different things to catch my eye; leaves of different colors and shapes, a variety of insects sunning themselves or waiting for lunch to wander by or in a hurry to get somewhere. The sky was blue, the air was clear (that’s one advantage of getting so much rain) and the sunlight slipped past the wind danced leaves to make momentary appearances here and there on the forest floor.
I thought about f stops and shutter speeds and the effect of high ISO on the photon catching properties of silicon.
The rest of the day was spent preparing my equipment for John & Kristina’s big day, the journey to Hidden Lake Winery, and the wedding festivities. It was hot, the the thunderstorms didn’t help things much. My lenses fogged up when I went out doors and my camera bags got wet.
On the way home, I was passing through the park when it started pouring again. It was a great day!
