Day 209 - a year in Forest Park

A warm day for walking

Yesterday, when I was wandering in the wild area next to the Muny, it was too dark to get photos of some of the things I saw, so today I was eager to get back over there while there was still light. The family plan was to see Camelot at the Muny, and I figured I could connect with them there. One of the great things about teenagers is they can run errands for you (when they’re not busy wrecking your cars). Elinor dropped me off at the west side of the park, and I had the pleasure of a leisurely stroll across the middle of it to Circle lake, on the eastern side, and then to the theater to see the fun.

There is a lot to see in the approximately 3 miles that I walked, and I enjoyed seeing it. My friend Dave Revelle suggested I could call my site “bug of the day”, and I did see several on my walk The ladybug and the butterflies were interesting, but I think the wasps have the coolest color scheme.  Take a look.
