This is scary
I should never have gone to see Aliens! But I’ve always been a Sci-Fi fan (in 8th grade I read everything from Jules Verne to Ray Bradbury in the Ginter Park Branch Library). Not having seen the first film (Alien) I didn’t know that it was really a horror movie disguised as Sci-Fi. After seeing it on the big screen I had difficulty going into my basement for a full two weeks (if you have ever seen my basement, you’ll understand what I mean).
Fortunately for us human types, cicadas are small enough to step on and our bird allies like to eat them. Otherwise, though, it could easily be a case of “There goes the planet!!”
In addition to bugs, there were hugs (given to trees), rugs and mugs. Oh, and a lethargic tree rat. I love Forest Park!!!
