Day 213 - a year in Forest Park

Really Airy

Most of us in St. Louis are pinching ourselves and saying to family, friends and total strangers,

“Can you believe this weather?”

It has been sunny and mild (not to be confused with Sonny and Cher) this year, making my Forest Park project even more of a pleasure (and to think I was dreading the summer months)!

Today I wanted to start where I left off yesterday, so I parked at the visitors center and walked along Lindell toward the east. Crossing Union Avenue, I came upon Murphy Lake, home of the Decoy Duck  (and a few real ones). The leaking water pipe is right next to the Metrolink tracks there (it’s been excavated for over a month), but Joy is back, quotation mark madness is on us, the real story of the Steinberg Rink is revealed and the truth is out about my love for convex mirrors. Check it out!
