Old friends, new friends
There are certainly a lot of friendly people in St. Louis and that’s bound to be part of why I love it so much! Here are four friends enjoying a beautiful August day in America’s number one urban park. I thought they looked interesting so I introduced myself, gave them each a postcard and got permission to take a photo.
It was like this all over the park today, with citizens sitting on blankets, in lawn chairs and on the park benches, chatting, eating, kissing and otherwise celebrating what must certainly be one of the mildest summers in Saint Louis’ history (I picked a good year for my 365 project).
Flowers, birds, bugs, big white fluffy clouds in an azure sky, a golden griffin, and truth itself were all in Forest Park today, just waiting to be found by me (it could have been you, though, had you chanced to venture out). And I’ve got proof, if you’d like to see it.
