Day 237 - a year in Forest Park

Thinking

I think about a lot of things when I’m out and about in Forest Park. I observe the people in the park, notice their shadows, the colors they wear, the direction of the light, and their movements, expressions, etc. Sometimes I look at the the trees and the grass, the birds flying overhead and the various buildings and other structures in the park. Today, as I lay on the sidewalk next to the Steinberg rink, I looked at the sky and thought about color and light when several voices interrupted my reverie.

“Are you all right?” they asked?

“I think so.” I replied. “Thank you for asking.”

My descent to the sidewalk had not been voluntary, but was caused by the sudden sideways motion of my bicycle when the tires rubbed against the edge of the sidewalk. I didn’t get too scraped up, and was able to get back up again, but as long as I was down there I thought I might as well relax for a moment or two.

It was over all a good ride: I immersed myself in the beauty of the park and drank in the twilight magic. Here’s the body of evidence.
