A cloudy day that was just about perfect (much better than the first time we tried - it rained). I met up with the soon-to-be-newlyweds at the Muny (the Muny in Forest Park) and we took a walk through the Deer Lake wild area over to Circle Lake and the Victorian Footbridge. On the way over we paused on the Lafayette Bridge to do the photographer thing and were treated to the sight of several score of Goldfinches ascending from the field of yellow flowers there (God really does like yellow - I didn’t know there were that many goldfinches in the whole world).
We walked the walk and talked about ... I don’t remember, really, but I enjoyed it! Here, see the rest of the photos.
Yesterday evening I hauled my GigaPan robotic camera mount over to Art Hill and took some photos of the front of the Art Museum, which I then stitched into a 244 megapixel photo. Here is a link to the Gigapan site where you can see my creation and enlarge it. Be sure to zoom in on the statues, there is an incredible amount of detail there.
