Capital Bluegrass II

Ok, I’m back. Back at the Kentucky Coffeetree Café on West Broadway, listening to (l to r) Chris Saenz on the violin, Dan Bailey on the Mandolin, Sherri Reese on vocals, Joe LaMay on guitar and Rick Saenz on the upright bass. Now if you don’t like bluegrass music, you wouldn’t want to be here, but I’m one of those hum along types, who always shivers at the murder ballads and weeps at the tear-jerkers.

So you can imagine, friends, that I’m as happy as a pig in dirt, sitting in Kentucky listening to real Kentucky bluegrass. Right now the singer’s mother is being lowered into her grave in the cold, cold ground. There’s only a picture and one faded rose to remember Anna by (not counting her name on a stone). Here are other pictures to aid your memory.
